Almost time to start

The time to start my first run to complete 6,342 miles (Slight increase since December 11th, RIP our proud soldiers) for every fallen US Soldier since the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan started in 2003.

Right now I am planning on running at least 4-5 days a week. To start off with I will not be putting in a whole lot of miles because of a few reasons:
1) It is super cold out still.
2) I am out of shape.
3) Classes at WWU

But I will finish my goal for our fallen. It might not be in 1 year, but by God I will try.

Seeing as this is a difficult challenge for one person I would like to ask everyone who is interested to help me run all of these miles for our veterans! If you would like to join me a few things will need to happen. You will need to stay in contact with me and report the miles you run each day! I will keep a running tally for you through this blog, and for every mile you run I will write the name of one veteran for you; Name, Age, Rank, Birth place, and Unit.

Thanks for the support everyone! I hope everyone had a great X-Mas and I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

The Idea!

Picture came from http://www.roguegunner.com
While on the plane to Japan I was thinking, what should I do for a New Year's Resolution? Well I don't know, I never do these! However one thought came through my mind over and over again... Something for our Veterans! But, what?!?
"Well I am alright at running, how about that?!"

So I decided that I would run 1 mile for each Veteran that has given their lives for our sake in the United States, as well as for the world. As of today (11-Dec-2011 in Tokyo, Japan) there have been 6,335 Fallen Veteran since we entered the war and conflicts in 2003. I hope that this number does not increase, not for the sake of running more miles, but because I do not wish to hear about anymore deaths within from our Armed Forces.

I would like to thank all of the Veterans who have served, are serving, and gave everything for the United States. I am proud to be running for all of you, and continue your great service!
